Congratulations Deana

Hearty congratulations go out to Deana Rushworth and her golfing ladies for their success in Spain. The competition was the Tarleton Ladies Pro-Am. It's the largest ladies pro-am in Europe with teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark. The competition took place in El Rompido.

There were 105 ladies playing. (1 pro to 6 amateurs, 15 teams of 7) best 4 stableford scores to count on each hole out of the 7.

The main tournament was over 3 rounds, stableford with the best 4 of the 7 scores counting on each hole. The two practice rounds on each course were in Texas Scramble format one day and Waltz the next. Deana's team won by 31 points over the 3 rounds, with Deana taking the prize for Best Pro for her scores. 6 of the pros competing were ex European Tour pros and one pro (Hannah Ralph) is currently on the European tour.

Deana's team had Marie Fitches from Witney lakes and Nikki Gander an ex Witney lakes member.
