- Please play matches as soon as possible, DO NOT leave until last minute - get the games in while the weather is agreeable, DO NOT postpone matches because it is cold, frosty, or on Winter greens, the clue is in the name of the competition

- It is the responsibility of ALL teams to arrange matches, DO NOT wait to be  contacted by your opponents!

- Please inform the committee as soon as possible if any difficulties are encountered arranging fixtures - extension requests are generally not well received!

 

- Handicap allowance - 90% difference off lowest handicap

- Normal preferred lies on the fairway

- Tees - White, unless there is a female in the match see rules [23]

- Points allocation - 2 for a win, 1 for a draw

- Knockout stage - top 2 in each group

- In the event of a tied group, highest score difference calculated followed by best

  score against tied opponents

Please note that there are 16 teams required to go forward to the knockout stage but there will be 14 teams produced from 7 groups therefore there will be a place in the knockout phase for the best 2 third place teams. If more than 2 third place teams are tied the draw for the 2 required places will be random between the tied teams
