Witney Lakes mid-week Captain's Roll-Up 



Starting on the first Wednesday after the start of British Summer Time and every Wednesday through the Summer.

 

Come along between 4.30 pm and 5.15 pm and join other golfers in a roll-up and play format of stableford off full handicap over the front 9 holes. The roll-up is open to all members with an active handicap and those wishing to go off before 4.30pm can do so as long as they sign in (PSI terminal in resort reception) and pay the fee before playing. Scorecards not returned to the Sports Bar by 7.45pm will be excluded.

 

There is a small fee of £3 entry for this competition of which approximately 50% being paid out on the night in first three places prize  money

 

As well as the prizes for the first 3 places there is usually a nearest the pin competition on the 6th & 8th hole

 

The roll-up organiser reserves the right to adjust (chop!) handicaps as needed. (midweek roll-up adjustments are non permanent and are for the midweek roll-up only!)

 

Registration for this competition is straightforward, simply find your name on the PSI terminal in reception and select the roll-up to sign in to it and pay your entry fee at the resort reception, then head up to the first tee to join in the fun.

 

Once you have completed your 9 holes you can then retire to the sports bar where there is often a managers roll-up special on the menu to be enjoyed while waiting for the results of the evening and the presentation of prizes.

For those members who want to join in with like minded golfers on a roll-up and play basis at the weekends there is a Saturday members 18 hole roll-up  on the first tee.

 

Roll up, give your name to the organiser and a couple of English pounds, or a fiver if you want a drink as well after the match, throw your golf ball into the  bag and wait to be drawn out to find out who you are playing with and when.

 

A drink, some food and some prizes and banter in the Sports Bar after the field is in.

What better way could there be to spend a Saturday afternoon?
