​ Witney Lakes Golf Club - Members

Witney Lakes Golf Club cordially invites its male club members of the qualifying age of 18 years old or over, with an active club handicap of no more than 18* to participate in the Witney Lakes team in 2019 Central Sevens League competition.

 

Witney Lakes is in division 2 of 6 divisions, with 6 teams in each division in the league. Witney Lakes shares the division with:

 

Caversham Heath        Cherwell Edge        Feldon Valley                 Silverstone       

 

This gives Witney Lakes a total of 8 games to play between April and October, playing each team in the division home and away.

 

Each team comprises 7 members who will play a similarly ranked member of the opposition in match play format over 18 holes. As per CONGU rules the handicap allowance in singles match play is the full difference in handicaps.

 

This is a team competition with the team having the majority of wins out of the 7 matches being awarded 3 points, an away draw gains 2 points with a home draw achieving 1 point.

 

There is a meal provided by the home team on match day.

 

Each team member selected will pay a subscription of £7.50 on the day towards the cost of the catering.

 

* It is possible to play in the league with a higher handicap than 18, but you will only be entitled to play with a maximum of 18 handicap.
