The Ladies’s section of Witney Lakes Golf Club provides competitions and events for all female  Members,  with some competitions also including the male section.

The ladies section provides a committee, which works for the members, to provide representation to the resort management and to provide a structure for the membership for general golf play and competitions.

Throughout the year the Committee organises:

  • Monthly Medal, stroke play, full handicap competition held on the 1st Saturday of the month;

  • Monthly Stableford, full handicap competition held over the 3rd Saturday of the month;

  • Regular boarded competitions throughout the year in a variety of formats;

  • Annual Club Championships;

  • Regular non-boarded competitions such as the Captains fun day and the Captains drive-in;

  • In the non-Winter months, that is during British Summer time, the ladies can play in the  mid week (Wednesday) mens Captain’s Roll-Up, a nine hole competition off full handicap, tee off between 4.30pm and 5.30pm with the presentation of prizes and a ‘Chef’s special’ Captains Roll-Up menu choice in the Sports Bar immediately afterwards

The ladies section also has responsibility for the organisation of regional league competitions such as the Mid Silver League. Thoughout the year there are friendly matches organised with local clubs on a Saturday.

The  Committee is made up of willing volunteers and is vital to the continued success of ladies golf at Witney Lakes but is always on the look out for fresh ideas and input so please come along and make yourself known if you feel you would like to contribute to the success of the club.

* 5 day members can also participate but as most club competitions and events are organised over weekend they would have to pay a green fee.
